Where has all the time gone?

Calendars, Calendars, Calendars ----- Is your schedule as busy as mine? We need to slow down and catch our breath sometime. Today is my day to do just that.

I haven't put anything on here for over a week now.

God continues to bless me and my family, but I am reminded to set priorities when my "calendar" gets too full. I hope you have a great week.

Forgiven

One of my favorite possessions is one of the first edition prints of the "Forgiven" picture that hangs on my wall. It was a gift from a deacon and good friend years ago.

I cannot help but think of the times when I have gone as far as I could go and the guilt of sin and a hurting heart made me just collapse. It was Christ who held me up through difficult days.

My message is simple today. Christ will hold you up and never let you go.

Trust Him today

Today Is the Lord's Day

It has been a few days since I've written anything on here. I'll do better next week. I think maybe it's writer's block, or that I have been just so very busy as of late. I look forward to a good day at church today. My messages are ready to be preached. (not sure if they are ready to be heard or not).

Both sermons today are on keeping faith while living in the kinds of times in which we live. Well, I hope you all have a great week this week. I'll post again tomorrow.

God bless!

Hoedown 2006

Wow!! What a great time we had at church on Saturday, September 30. Our show was lead by Ms. Irma Turngood who somehow found her way to the onstage outhouse. Enjoy the pictures and laugh out loud. We sure did.

May God bless you!!

Church News

This Sunday will be Friends of Faith Baptist Church's sixth anniversary. I was not with them from the very beginning, but last Sunday was my fourth anniversary as their pastor. I am very happy with my church and ministry. It's tough at times, but God continues to bless us in a great ministry.

I really believe there is a connection between pastor and congregation that only comes once in a lifetime. I've only had this one other time in my ministry, but I know it's God driven.

I thank God for my church and her families.

May God bless you!

Looking Toward the Future

I remember when this picture was taken. I was around 9 or 10 years old. When I was a little boy I thought about what I would look like or be doing when I became an adult. I had many dreams and goals like most boys.

Many things did not turn out as I had anticipated, but many of those things turned out better than I could ever imagine. God has worked miracles in my life and remembering that gives me encouragement for the future.

What great and wonderful things does God have in store for me in the years to come?
